Under 13 Div 3 vs East Malvern (R10)

4 July 2017 by HRJ

East Malvern, Waverley Oval, 8:30am, temperature 2C, heavy frost covering the oval.

This game wasn’t supposed to be a walk in the park but for many of our boys it was. Unfortunately, whist we were enjoying the stroll, the opposition were content to play clean fast football and gave us an almighty shellacking.

1st Qtr 4.3 27 vs 0.0 0
2nd Qtr 9.4 58 vs 0.0 0

HT. Oranges. Water. Reflect on the walk in the Park.

3rd Qtr 12.7 79 vs 1.1 7 YES! It’s ON!
4th Qtr 19.10 124 vs 1.2 8 Nah, it not.

We were beaten by a better team. That said, there were efforts that deserved awards:

Jake M. Brave. Stuck to a man-child like a limpet, preventing marks and scoring chances.
Adam Doyle. Consistent and ever reliable.
Damian Paino. Great in the contest especially in the 2nd half.
Tom Randall. Played a Captains game and kept trying for 4 Qtrs.
Benjo Wells. Endeavoured to open up the game with good running.

We’ll all enjoy the break and be back hungry for a few wins.
