Under 14 Div 3 vs East Brighton Vampires (R4)

15 May 2017 by HRJ

Back on the winners list!

Well done to everyone on Sundays effort. It is the first week we have had pretty much a full playing list and that resulted in a 21 man team effort with everyone doing their bit to ensure we got the 4 points.

You were asked to do it for the mothers and right from the start you delivered.

It was great to have Charlie Wilson back in the side. He dominated the ruck all day and then hurt them on the score board as well, when he moved forward.

Nathan Burns reminded us of just how good he can be leading up to meet the ball and taking a couple of good marks up forward.

Sam Stewart took to the wing like a duck to water and had far and away his best game for the year getting plenty of the football and finding himself in the right position time and time again.

Cooper Wigley was another to play his best game for the year presenting and getting his hands on the football.

A big thanks to Alex Pepicelli who helped out and gave us a third on the bench. Certainly holding his own playing up 2 age groups.

The back line led by the ever reliable Gus Perkins stood tall all day only giving up two goals. Tom Pepicelli, Lucas McCrae & Nick Quinlan ensured they were always in front of their men. Nick Quinlan starting the game with a brilliant run down tackle.

Looking forward to another big week on the training track and preparing for next week.

Angus Graham
