The Hampton Rovers Junior Committee has appointed Paul Carrigan to the Head of Football role for 2017, taking over from Kyle Pinto.
The committee would like to thank Kyle Pinto for the past two seasons running the football department; KP did a great job of managing the coaches, helping build on the technical knowledge of all members and continuing to build on our relationships with the SMJFL and local rival clubs.
Paul Carrigan will take over from Kyle for the 2017 season and beyond. Caggs has 30 years of coaching and administration experience in Junior Football within the Eastern Football League, Yarra League and the past eight year coaching teams from Under 9 – Under 17 at Hampton Rovers and East Sandringham Football Clubs as well as three years heading up Auskick at the Rovers.
Paul is a Level two coach who has multi layers of representative coaching from Under 14-17 and has done stints at Eastern Rangers, Oakleigh Chargers at TAC Under 18 level and this year within the staff at Sandringham Dragons Under 14.
The coaches will enjoy his vast knowledge, passion and new coaching initiatives he is looking to introduce at the club. FUN, SKILL, TEAMWORK & SPORTSMANSHIP are the key drivers that Caggs firmly believes in and he feels all Boys & Girls will enjoy the 2017 season ahead.
The Hampton Rovers Football Club plans on fielding at least 18 junior sides in 2017 from U8s through to U17s, including the introduction of up to four junior girls teams. Junior player registrations will open for the 2017 season soon. Stay tuned to the Hampton Rovers website for details.
