A big thank you to all those that support the sun gods and purchased Rovers umbrellas as it certainly helped keep the rain away on Sunday. What a great day again to see all our kids in the green and gold. The day was full of great footy and a couple of fantastic wins against very good sides. It’s amazing to see how much our kids have improved during the season. Well done the kids and a big shout out to all the coaches, assistants, helpers etc and of course our own MR FOOTBALL Paul Carrigan!!! Let’s finish the season with lots of fun and all being well sing the song a few times.
We have our final home and away round for our younger ones this week so all the best to you before you lose the advantage of home turf at Castlefield or the mightly Boss James. To our older age groups keep enjoying your footy.
On the social side for parents we have a lunch this Saturday at Rovers (can turn up on the day) for an awesome $30 per head feed that supports the club. We have asked each age group to try and get together a table of 8 at least. If you want to come along please join us on Saturday 12 noon for a 12.30 lunch. Most of the junior committee and partners will be there so please try and make it. It really is a bit of fun and really does help the club. Friends welcome. This lunch is dedicated to the juniors with tables confirmed for a number of age groups including our Auskick members which is fantastic. Contact Me, Tania Marshall or via the website.
I mentioned last week that we have been selected to host finals again this year and whilst we thought we had the privilege of two weeks we actually have 3 weeks of finals. We need some volunteers please. We are only looking for 1-2 hrs per person max to help us out. Tasks include selling the footy record, turning sausages on the BBQ to ground support on the day. Please contact me if you can help. Leaving it just to the 12 of us on the committee is not how we would like it to be please.
Don’t forget our sponsors again. Please support those that support the club. As a non for profit organisation we rely really heavily on the generousity of local companies to support us in order to keep our fees as low as they are today. Please make sure you support them. All of our sponsors are on our website, scoreboard, bags, awards and newsletters. Thanks for your help on this.
Finally, this week is the ‘Beanie’ round to support the RCD Foundation for kids brain cancer. A terrible disease that we hope to help play our part. All players judged Best on Ground on Sunday (one per team) will get an RCD beanie that has been supplied by Hampton Rovers as a donation to RCD. The very lovely Emma Nicholl (the 1st Lady) will be co-ordinating RCD activities and selling Beanies on the day so please support RCD.
Let’s hope the rain this week clears for another great Sunday. Hope to see you Saturday and Sunday this week!!

Kind Regards
