“Full Tilt Fun” – It was a great line on the coaching board of our Under 18 Girls last weekend that saw them win another great game to advance straight to the grand final. “Full Tilt Fun” – in spite of the weather is what our Rovers Boys and Girls displayed all day on Sunday. Whilst we hosted some great football at our awesome Boss James oval, we had all of our finals teams (and players) playing away. Congrats to all those that gave it their all on the weekend #Passion #Teamwork #Fun #Respect. Whilst not all of the results went our way we are all incredibly proud the way you went about your football on a tragically cold and wet August Sunday. Congrats to the winners – I look forward to watching you all this weekend.
To all the supporters, age group squad members and general footy fans that turned up to cheer our kids on thanks for the support again. The Rovers Army was out in force with HR branded gear at every turn. It was fantastic to see and be a part of.
To those that didn’t quite get the result – we are proud that you simply played the way you did on the weekend and you should look back with a smile for the significant achievement it is to play in finals footy at any age group.
If you have finished for the year can I please ask that return your jumper to your team manager. We also have an ever increasing pile of lost property at Boss James. Please speak to your TMs or enquire via our website if you have lost something during the year and want to get it back. All goods not collected by the end of finals (two weeks) will be donated to charity.
Finally – thanks to all those that volunteered to help us run Boss James on the weekend. We have two more rounds of football at Boss James, with the Preliminary Finals this weekend, and the grand final the weekend after. Please let me know if you are available to help out for an hour or so on the day. We are hosting the older age groups both weeks (the Under 17 boys are playing at Boss James at 1pm) with some exhibition intraleague matches Sunday week that will be well worth going to have a look at for those that aren’t quite ready to give up on season 2018.
