SUNSHINE AND MUD – A GREAT COMBO
The weather gods behaved again on the weekend to allow most of our teams to play in good conditions, albeit a bit muddy at some grounds. It’s exciting to see how much each age group has learnt and grown over the weeks. Most importantly the friendship groups and memories made are why we do what we do as volunteers.
SMILE KIDS!
This week we also ran our team photos. I would like to thank Sarah Jane Clarkson for volunteering again to run this for the club. Coordinating 600 players across two nights with many, many constraints is an amazing achievement. If you were slightly frustrated by the chaos… I welcome you helping us next year! 😉 Thanks to the team managers and parents that also helped kid wrangle on the nights.
SENIORS SUPPORT
Over the last few weeks, many of our teams would have noticed further support from the senior ranks of the club. This most recent initiative to help out at training, was initiated by the senior players themselves. It’s fantastic to see ‘One Rovers’ getting stronger and stronger every year.
GALA NIGHT
Thanks to those that have donated for the auctions this Saturday night! If you have something left to donate, please get in touch as quickly as possible. I’m very excited to be attending Saturday night’s Annual Gala event. With many special guests attending it’s going to be an amazing event. Please remember, this is our major fundraiser for the year, so please bring along your generosity as well as your party spirit.
I look forward to welcoming many of our members on Saturday night and sharing stories over the football on Sunday.
Passion, Teamwork, Fun and Respect
Kind regards
Jason
