Welcome to the Hampton Rovers Juniors 2021 football season (almost).
I hope everyone was able to have some time off over January and clear their heads after a frustrating 2020.
While the first game isn’t until 18 April 2021 (check out the season dates here), there is lots of activity taking place behind the scenes to ensure the club is ready to kick off a well anticipated season. I’ve seen many coaches have already start preparing some of the age groups, with some fun activities before pre-season training officially starts.
While the cricket season is still upon us, I hope many of the kids have dusted off the Sherrin football and are slowly getting their touch back.
This year, registrations for certain age groups are filling up very fast. As there are some age groups that are almost full, from Monday 1 March the committee will be reviewing each age group, and may need to close registrations for an age group if it is full.
We want to make sure that the kids that have registered early, have the best experience in the 2021 season and therefore, ensure we have manageable player numbers across all age group teams.
If you don’t want your child to miss out on a wonderful season of footy with the Hampton Rovers, please ensure you register them by 1 March 2021.
As we progress towards the start of the season, I look forward to seeing everybody around the club once pre-season training officially starts – stay tuned.
