Hello to all our Rovers players and families,
We’ve had an interesting start to the 2022 footy season, with Round 1 squeezed in at the start of school holidays and Round 2 at the end. I appreciate that this may not have suited everyone who was heading off on holidays, but I’m glad that the 2022 season has started off with a bang!
Round 2 was the Anzac Round and provided the opportunity for our players to observe a minute of silence as a sign of respect at the beginning of the game. Thank you to all of our teams for demonstrating the Rovers values of Passion, Teamwork, Fun and Respect in such a mature and considered way.
Many of you know that I have been actively recruiting for some important vacancies that we have on the Hampton Rovers Juniors Committee. The call has been answered! My thanks go to Matthew Lawson who is joining as our new Junior Secretary and to Jade Ghoukassian who will take on the important role of Child Safety and Incident Officer. Welcome! We are looking forward to you being integral members of the Committee.
We are still have a vacancy for the Social and Events Coordinator position. We are open to flexibility for this position, and can reshape so that this important position can be carried out by a number of people. If you are able to support in any way, please do get in touch.
Speaking of events, we have our Junior Season launch this Friday 29 April starting at 4.30pm through to around 10.30pm. After two years of cancellations, I’m looking forward to catching up with many of you on the evening.
For the Under 8s, this will be an extra special night as they will receive their Hampton Rovers Jumpers at their jumper presentation.
