Halfway Through The Season

26 June 2023 by Rohan Bardwell

We are halfway through the season – a season that is flying by. We have one more round on Sunday 25 June, before the school holidays officially begin. We will then be back for Round 10 on Sunday 16 July.

Over the past few weeks, we have laughed with comedians our Comedy for a Cause fundraising event, welcomed Grill’d to the Boss as part to the SMJFL Grill’d round (don’t forget to sign up for the free burger footy promotion), and celebrated some great sportsmanship as part of the SMJFL Interleague.

Congratulations to our players who were selected and took part in the SMJFL Interleague matches over the King’s Birthday Long Weekend. It was a great opportunity to represent the League and play with players from across the state. A special shout out to Toby Clarkson who was named Most Valuable Player for the U14 game. Congratulations!

For those heading off on a break, please rest up and stay safe. See you all around the grounds!

Go Rovers!
