UNDER 8 & 9s WRAP UP THE SEASON
Our final weekend for the U8/9s was aptly names the Thunder and Lightning carnival. What a great display of skills, friendship and passion all teams displayed in true winter AFL weather. Congrats to all of our U8/9 kids and parents on a fantastic year. You are the heart and soul of Rovers moving forward. It’s been a pleasure to welcome many of you this year. Thanks to all those that helped enable us to have our littlest of kids play the great game in 2019. I hope you will all be back in 2020 (with a few friends).
AHWTR – GREAT NIGHT
It was great to see so many people at the club on Sunday night for our last AHWTR for 2019. Thanks to all those that came along and helped the club whilst enjoying the social side of our special Rovers Family.
U10s REV UP FOR LIGHTNING CUP
This weekend it’s our U10s in their lightning carnival weekend. We wish you all the best #gorovers. Play proud in the green and gold. Have fun and enjoy the last hit out of 2019.
FINAL HOME & AWAY ROUND
For all of our other teams, please enjoy the last round of 2019 home and away season – I know a few teams need some solid results to make finals and others are looking for a hard-fought win to round out the season. To all of you – good luck.
SHOW YOUR SUPPORT
As our teams head to the finals, I would like all of our members to come and support the age groups in the finals. I will send out the lists next week. We are also hosting finals at our Boss James ground for all three rounds. This will be a great way to see some amazing Division 1 and 2 football. For those not wanting to finish the year please get down to Boss James Sunday week and the following two weeks for some amazing sport.
MONEY RAISED FOR RCD – YOU BEAUTY!
Finally, I’m very proud to announce that Hampton Rovers has raised the most money for the RCD Round out of all of the clubs in the league. It’s moments like these where I thank you all and feel proud to be part of such a caring community. To those that sponsored and donated – thanks so much. It’s great to be recognised for raising almost 25% of the league contribution to RCD, but more importantly we made a big collective impact on quest for a cure of such a cruel disease. Thanks Rovers Families!!! A big shout out to those that co-ordinated the RCD round in particular Emma Nicholl.
I look forward to seeing you all out and about on Sunday.
