After a cold and wet send off to our enthusiastic U8s and U9s last weekend, this weekend saw the return of the sunshine for the final home and away round. Our two Under 10 teams finished off a very positive year with smiles on their faces at their Lightning Carnivals. It was great to see how many friends and family were able to attend and cheer them on. I was very proud of their efforts and to see how much they had grown and learnt as a team in 2017. We hope to see you all again in 2018.
This weekend sees the start of the finals for all other ages. We have 3 teams playing with the U12 Girls, U11 D5 Boys and U17 Sandy Rovers sides all playing very competitive footy. It would be fantastic for all members to come along and support them. Venues and times are listed on the home page of our website. Good luck to all those playing; no matter what the result, you should be proud of all that you have achieved this year.
It’s a big day for Boss James this Sunday hosting the first round of the finals with games all day on Sunday. Please make every effort to pop in and watch some great football.
Finally, as the season comes to a close can I please remind you of a few items:
- The Presentation Day is on Sunday 27th of August – your team manager will advise times.
- Please return your jumpers to your team managers.
- Lost Property will be on display at the club on Presentation Day. If the lost property is not collected that day we will offer it to charity.
