Once again our kids and volunteers have done us proud. Round 3 saw 6 games at each of Boss James and Castlefield. Some great footy was played and the smiles continued.
Mate v Mate
What a way to start round 3 on Friday night with the lights on at Boss James for a head to head between 2 of our 3 merged U15 teams – Mate v Mate. The game was played in a fantastic spirit and represented all of the values of our club mantra #Passion #Teamwork #Fun #Respect. Thanks to all those that helped support Will Murray on the night. As a community club its great to see how we can collectively support those that need our help. Well done to all that helped make the night a great success.

Over and above the footy this week we had the start of the photos. Thanks to all those that turned up on time. It’s so important that you get your kids to the allocated time in order to not impact all others after you. I would also like to remind parents that our photo partner this year Sports In Focus is offering early bird specials on the day your photo is taken so please go online and order your photos ASAP to take advantage. If you have not had your squad and individual photos they will be in the next 7 days so please ensure you can make it.
Match Day
It was very pleasing to see (as illustrated on Instagram) that all teams are starting to get in the swing of things with respect to ground setups and game day roles. This should see your team managers start to look a lot less stressed.
Rovers Lunch
On Saturday I was honoured to be able to host a number of parents from U12 at the Home Lunch for the Rovers Seniors. I strongly encourage every age group to get to one of the home lunches and to support the Senior elements of our club as they support us in turn. Your team managers will be organising tables and the food is the best provided in the VAFA league.
