Following the Victorian State Government’s advice around the return of community sport, the SMJFL and AFL Victoria have endorsed a return to club sanctioned small outdoor group training at community football level. However, this is on the provision that clubs, coaches and participants follow the relevant Victorian State Government guidelines and AFL Victoria’s COVID-19 guidelines are implemented.
In advance of training recommencing, the SMJFL and AFL Victoria requires member clubs to brief all participants and their parents/carers of the important protocols supporting a safe return to training.
Please take time to read the Hampton Rovers Participant Briefing with your child(ren). After going through the material you will need to complete the questions to acknowledge you and your child(ren) have been briefed by the Club and understand the protocols.
Acknowledgement of an understanding of the protocols is mandatory for any child wishing to participate in club training. Please ensure that this is completed by Friday 5 June 2020 at the very latest (but the earlier the better). This will take not more than 10 minutes to discuss and complete, but continuing to discuss the importance of the protocols with your child(ren) is recommended.
Please also see this message from HRJ President regarding returning to training and ensuring that we stick to the rules.
Thanks for your cooperation. We will keep you updated on the return to training plans.
