Under 8 Blue vs East Brighton (R3)

13 May 2019 by HRJ

Mother’s Day started early in Brighton, with our Round 3 opponents East Brighton. We were missing a few mums who were given a well-deserved sleep in! There were good conditions on the day and the boys have their tails up after a couple of good performances. They were really looking forward to the game.

This looked to be our best game this year and it’s fantastic to see the improvement already in the side, with all the hard work at training paying off. Our two captains, Finn and Daniel, did a fantastic job on the day.

The team really ran and shared the ball well across the ground, and their skills by foot and hand seem to be a real stand out, which created a lot of opportunities to hit the score board and get the whole team involved.

It was an excellent game, played with great spirit, plenty of talk, encouragement and an amazing team effort across the four quarters. A great job by the boys this week, and we look forward to our game next week against East Malvern.

PS. We may (or may not) have finally nailed the team song!
