Under 9 Maroon (Sill) vs Dingley (R9)

21 June 2018 by HRJ

Sorry for the delay on delivering the Match Report peeps, I’ve been out kicking the footy with little man Cruz and only now just crawled back in to the lap top as result of a pulling a Hammy.

Well it was another great day out watching the Rovers display their skill set, actually I tell a lie, it was so windy it blew the Lat off my Latte’ and Boston’s Dad Martin lost the legs off his pants, not too mention one of the temporary point posts blew over, Crikey!

The most impressive part of the game was those of you boys that played for the opposition on the day, a very important part of being a good sports person. This sportsmanship ensures that teams can be evenly matched on the day and that all players from both sides get a chance to play this great game we all know and enjoy. Good stuff Rovers boys, well done!

So this week rather than name each individual player that ran hard, kicked a goal, made a tackle or got the most possessions, all of which you are all getting so much better at. This Match Report is dedicated to you all for getting better at listening to Coach Julian and his support team, and although on this day we didn’t come away with a win, you are all winners for supporting the opposition team whom did not on the day have enough players and as a result of your sportsmanship the game could be played evenly and fairly.

Well done Rovers Team, Good Job!
