A massive congratulations on the boys on Sundays performance. I asked them to make a decision on the way they wanted to take care of business on Sunday and for the most part that can hold their heads high after a gallant performance. It’s never easy when you start the warm up with 11 boys and you look across to see the opposition with a full compliment. I must congratulate Tommy Reynolds on being first to the ground on Sunday, there is a first for everything!
A big thanks to the 7 Under 13 boys who assisted in getting us to 18 players. None of the boys looked out of place, and all had a positive influence on the game.
Special mention goes to Daniel Hall who got crunched in the first few minutes of his Under 14 debut but pulled himself together and managed to get himself a goal for his troubles!
Against the top side and missing the majority of our side, you all put your heart and soul into it and when we moved the football quickly we looked incredibly dangerous.
Hugo Lynch – Took some strong marks and looked dangerous when leading as the ball carrier. Managed a very handy goal as well.
Nathan Burns – Tried hard all day in a variety of positions and came back to help the team after a bloody nose.
Jules Seater – Held his man and had a couple of dashing runs from defence.
Sam Chaplin – the ever reliable Chappo did his bit down back.
Dan Osborn – put his hand up for a run in the midfield when everyone else was stuffed.
Will Garbs – belongs on the wing, brilliant pressure all day.
Harry Officer – led from the front with plenty of the football and one goal.
Charlie Wilson – battled all day winning the majority of the taps and played inured.
James Chadwick – brilliant down back and brilliant in the ruck, kept running straight lines.
Tom Reynolds – is this the new Tom? First to the game and asked to play down back? Another who put in a solid performance.
Darcy Lyon – plenty of the football and ran hard all day.
For the rest of you enjoy Europe and I look forward to seeing you Wednesday week at training.
