A heartfelt welcome to you all for the Hampton Rovers Juniors 2022 football season. I’m pumped and I am really looking forward to the 2022 season.
Given our last two seasons were significantly interrupted, my hope is that this year, my third as Junior President, will see a full season completed by September, with our players enjoying every single match.
This year, the season will commence with Round 1 on Sunday 10 April. Please note that this is the first weekend of the school holidays. Round 2 will be on Sunday 24 April – the ANZAC Day long weekend and the end of school holidays. The South Metro Juniors Football League (SMJFL) football fixture is available for you all here to help you plan out the rest of the year. Pre-season training times and days can be found here.
While the start of the season is still four weeks away, your Hampton Rovers Juniors Committee and volunteers have been busy to get everything ready to go.
Most importantly, we have been taking registrations and planning our teams. If you haven’t already registered your child(ren) to play in 2022, please do not delay. Teams are filling up fast. We plan to close registrations on 31 March 2022, so please hurry so you don’t miss out!
We are projecting that we will have between 550 and 600 girls and boys registered this year from Under 8s to Under 17s, across more than 23 teams. Please register here as quickly as you can.
